Know Vikas
Prof. Vikas Mathkari has been one of the youngest political social activist in Pune today. He has been teaching at the BMCC for the past 20 years. Awarded as the best teacher way back in 1997, he is one of the few politicians around with a teaching background. A MCom. And MA , he is also pursuing a Phd. Known as fiery, elquent and powerful activist Vikas’s work has been recognized by people cutting across political parties and regions.
“Vikas Sir” as he is often referred to by his students is a prolific public Speaker with a rationale & popular for studious oratory in Hindi, English and Marathi. Active participant in debate and elocution competitions since his college days, he has won more than 200 prizes. He is regularly invited for presenting papers, talks on various issues on virtually all political & non political platforms.
Vikas’s mother has also been a teacher of Sanskrit. Vikas is married to Dr. Muktaja Mathakari, teaching at Ferguson College, leading institute in Pune and has a daughter currently pursuing higher secondary school.
